Trump rally

original article from: CNN

Taking the stage at a rally in Nevada Saturday night, President Donald Trump didn’t hold back.

He said his anger about a recent Democratic ad that highlighted his alleged comments disparaging dead American soldiers had freed him to take his campaign to the next level: “Now I can be really vicious,” he said to roars of approval from the crowd of Trump supporters in Minden.

The President, who has long relished his role as a divider who amasses power by creating a climate of fear, went on to describe his opponent, Joe Biden, as “shot” and a puppet of the radical left, before accusing Democrats of trying to “lock law-abiding Americans in their homes” during the pandemic as they fight God, guns and oil.

LEFT VIEWPOINTS

  • At a time when our country needs to become more unified, Donald Trump seeks attention for himself, and he divides the country to get that attention.
  • Donald Trump is planting the seed that the Democrats are rigging the election. Part of the reason he is doing this is to avoid a scenario where he will have to admit he lost the election.
  • The scary scenario is that if the election is close, Donald Trump will attempt to use his “rigged election” narrative to stay in office, and he will divide the country even more.

I am politically left by U.S. standards, although I'd be considered moderate in most European Countries. I believe in universal healthcare, a UBI, equal opportunity to education, and expanded democracy. I think the free market works best for most industries. However, I am convinced that some industries, such as healthcare and education, do not respond to market forces and should be publically funded. Additionally, I believe industries that damage and destroy the environment should be regulated. My views are my own, and they do not necessarily represent what other people on the left believe. In that sense, LeftViewpoint is "a" left viewpoint, not "the" left viewpoint.
